*참고 1)대부분의 나라에 있는 큰 전견종 단체들이 가지고 있는
맬러뮤트에 대한 표준은 거의 모두가 FCI를 따르고 있습니다
AKC, UKC, TKC, CKC, JKC의 맬에 대한 견종 표준은 FCI와 동일합니다
그래서 맬에 대한 견종 표준이 나라마다 그리고 심사위원마다
다를 수가 없습니다.

10)모(털):누운 털이 아니며 전체적인 모의 길이가 2인치에서 3인치 정도의 짧게 보이는 털
겉털 => 두껍고 거침, 길거나 부드럽지는 않고 길이는 속털과 비슷하나 2에서 3인치 정도
속털 => 조밀하게 되어 있으며 1인치에서 2인치 정도, 윤이나며 양모처럼 보인다
모의 길이와 밀도는 몸의 중간부분에서는 짧거나 중간 정도의 길이며 어깨와 목 주위
그리고 등 아래, 엉덩이, 꼬리는 모의 길이가 길어진다.
여름에는 모의 길이가 짧아지거나 밀도가 낮아진다.
특히, 암놈인 경우는 새끼를 출산할 경우 더욱 이런 현상이 뚜렷하다.
털을 깍을 필요는 없습니다. 브러싱은 1주에 2회 정도
11)색상:단색의 컬러는 흰색만이 허용함. 다리, 얼굴마킹, 발에는 흰색임. 앞이마와 칼라의
블레이즈(즉, 이마에 불꽃무늬와 앞쪽 목 바로 아래에 있는 레이스) 혹은 목덜미(기갑 부위)의
화이트 스팟은 매력적이며 인정됩니다. 맨틀, 깨진 컬러들이 몸 전체를 싸고 있는 것과
불규칙척인 스플래쉬는 허용되지 않습니다.
7가지 색상 패턴
(1)Black and White => 겉털은 black 속털은 black or dark grey
Black and White는 다시 2가지로 분류될 수 있습니다.
1)겉털은 black 속털은 black
2)겉털은 black 속털은 dark grey
(2)Seal and White => 겉털은 black 혹은 black tipped 속털은 white or cream
멀리서 얼핏보면 블랙으로 보이지만 진정한 블랙은 아니다
왜냐하면 밝은 색의 속털 때문이다.
Seal and White는 다시 4가지로 분류될 수 있습니다.
1)겉털은 black 속털은 white
2)겉털은 black 속털은 cream
3)겉털은 black tipped 속털은 white
4)겉털은 black tipped 속털은 cream
(3)Gray and White => 겉털은 Gray 속털은 light gray, cream, or white
적색 요소는 없다. 비록 topline 상에 머리가 블랙이더라도 그레이로 나타난다
Gray and White는 다시 3가지로 분류될 수 있습니다.
1)겉털은 Gray 속털은 light gray
2)겉털은 Gray 속털은 cream
3)겉털은 Gray 속털은 white
(4)Red and White => 겉털은 적색을 띠나 밝거나 혹은 어두은 음영이 있으며 속털은 밝은 색이며
입술과 코와 눈이 밝은 적색이다. 검은색 요소는 없다
(5)Sable and White => 겉털은 Black or gray 속털은 reddish이며 red trimmings이 있다
검은색과 붉은색의 요소가 있다
Sable and White는 다시 2가지로 분류될 수 있습니다.
1)겉털은 Black 속털은 reddish이며 red trimmings이 있다
2)겉털은 gray 속털은 reddish이며 red trimmings이 있다
(6)Silver and White => 겉털은 Light gray 속털은 흰색이다
(7)All White => 겉털과 속털이 모두 흰색이다
크림색의 마스크가 그 증거이다
10가지 마스크
(1) CAP : 머리와 귀의 윗부분에 모자를 쓴 모양이다. 대개 모자가 앞이마의 중앙에까지 온다.
(2) GOGGLE : 고글을 쓴 모양이다.
(3) BAR : 코에 막대가 있다.
(4) EYE SHADOW : 연한색의 새도우가 있으며, 고글과는 구별해야 함.
(5) STAR : 이마에 흰점이 있음.
(6) BLAZE : 캪과 이마에 흰색이 뻗어 있음, 폭과 길이는 상관없음.
(7) CLOSED FACE : 얼굴에 별다른 마킹 구분 없이 다싸고 있음.
(8) OPEN FACE : 캪이 머리를 싸고 있으며 별다른 마킹 없음.
(9) FULL MASK : 캪과 고글과 바가 다 있음.
(10) MASK : 9)번에서 바만 없음.
11)Nose : 갈라진 Snow nose 인정합니다
12)치명적인 결점 : 블루 아이
13)등록된 견종 단체: FCI, AKC, UKC, TKC, CKC
14)러시아의 사모예드, 시베리안 허스키(Kolyma River Region),
에스키모독(그린랜드와 라브라도 지역)과의 사촌관계이다
15)땅바닥에서 어깨까지 높이의 약 반이 가슴의 깊이이며 가장 깊은 곳은
바로 앞다리 뒤의 지점이다.
16)어깨에서 골반 바로 뒤의 지점까지의 길이가 체고(바닥에서 기갑까지)보다
길다 즉, 체장은 체고보다 길다 (약100:120)
17)다리가 너무 긴 것도 좋지 않다. 맬의 다리 길이는 배 밑에서
기갑(withers)까지의 길이에 해당되는 것이 좋다.
보통은 땅바닥에서 어깨까지의 높이의 반은 가슴이고 반은 다리의 길이다.

AMCK Standard for the Alaskan Malamute

10)Hair: Short, stand-off. The Malamute has a thick, coarse guard coat, never long
and soft. The undercoat is dense, from one to two inches in depth, oily and woolly.
The coarse guard coat varies in length as does the undercoat. The coat is relatively short
to medium along the sides of the body, with the length of the coat increasing around the shoulders and neck, neck, down the back, over the croup and in the breeching and plume. Malamutes usually have a shorter and less dense coat during the summer months. The Malamute is shown naturally. Trimming is not acceptable except to provide a clean cut appearance of feet.
11)Color:The usual colors range from light gray through intermediate shadings to black, sable, and shading of sable to red. Color combinations are acceptable in undercoats, points and trimmings. The only solid color allowable is all-white. White is always the predominant color on underbody, parts of legs, feet, and part of face markings. A white blaze on the forehead and/or collar or a spot on the nape is attractive and acceptable. The Malamute is mantled, and broken colors extending over the body or uneven splashing are undesirable.
Color Pattern
(1)Black and White
Black guard hair with black or dark grey undercoat.
(2)Seal and White
Black or black tipped guard hairs with white or cream undercoat.
Dog appears black at a distance,
but is not a true black because of the light undercoat.
(3)Gray and White
Gray guard hairs with a light gray, cream, or white undercoat. No red factor is evident.
Dog definitely appears gray, even though there may be some black hairs on the topline.
(4)Red and White
A definite shade of red, either light or dark; with light points (lip line and nose),
and eye color. No black factor evident.
(5)Sable and White
Black or gray guard hairs with a reddish undercoat and red trimmings.
Both black and red factors evident.
(6)Silver & White
Light gray guard hair with white undercoat.
(7)All White
Both guard hairs and undercoat are white. Often evidence of a mask in cream color.
Only solid color allowed.
Face Markings
(1)Cap: A cap of color covers the top of the head and ears usually coming to a point in
the center of the forehead.
(2)Goggles: Dark areas under the eyes and extending sideways to the cap.
(3)Bar: A dark area extending from the center point of the cap down the nose.
(4)Eye Shadow: Dark markings under the eyes but not extending out to the cap.
(5)Star: A small white spot in the center of the forehead.
(6)Blaze: A white mark extending from the center point of the cap back up the forehead.
Width and length can vary.
(7)Closed Face: Dark coloring covering the face with no distinct markings on the face.
(8)Open Face: A cap covering the top of the head and no other markings on the face.
(9)Full Mask: The combination of cap, goggles and bar.
(10)Mask: The combination of cap and goggles.
11)The lighter streaked "snow nose" is acceptable.

14)Alaskan Malamute is the native Alaskan Arctic breed, cousin to the Samoyed of Russia,
Siberian Husky (Kolyma River Region), and the Eskimo dogs of Greenland and Labrador.
15)The depth of chest is approximately one half the height of the dog at the shoulders,
the deepest point being just behind the forelegs.
16)The length of the body from point of shoulder to the rear point of pelvis is longer
than the height of the body from ground to top of the withers(100:120)
17)So long leg is not good, and good length of leg is from the bottom abdomen
to top the withers. Generally length of leg is one half the height from ground at the
